How to stand as a Deputy at next May’s Board Elections

The Board’s ‘Parliament’ is formally dissolved in May 2015, with the new Board taking over the following month.  The new Board, comprising roughly 300 Deputies, will elect new honorary officers – a President, Vice-Presidents and Treasurer – to serve for three years.

But the election season starts much earlier.  This December papers will be sent out to all constituencies (synagogues and community organisations) inviting them to elect new Deputies.   The constituencies will then invite all members to nominate candidates and elections will then be held at constituency general meetings or sometimes at Board or Trustee meetings over the following few months.
