Board of Deputies appoints two ’rising stars’ to take on challenges at home and abroad

The  Board of Deputies has made two new appointments to further enhance its dynamic public affairs team.

Joining the staff team as Public Affairs Officer will be Daniel Sugarman, the Jewish Chronicle journalist who has become well known for his outstanding political reporting on all matters affecting the Jewish community as well as his prolific social media presence.

The new International Relations Officer is  Talia Ingleby, who has worked as a policy researcher for Commonwealth Jewish Council President Lord Mendelsohn and is a volunteer activist with Israel advocacy organisation Stand With Us.

These appointments follow the recent recruitment of former United Synagogue Treasurer Brian Markeson as Finance Director; the Federation of Synagogues’ current Chief Operating Officer Judy Silkoff as Operations Director and former Liberal Judaism deputy Lauren Keiles as Jewish Community Engagement Officer.

Board of Deputies Chief Executive Gillian Merron said: “We are delighted to welcome Daniel and Talia to our multi-talented professional staff team. Their experience and enthusiasm will be an asset to the Board of Deputies in doing the vital work of representing our community.”
