International community silent as rockets rain down on Israel


Over 70 rockets and mortars have been fired from Gaza into Israel over the past 24 hours. 

Yet the voice of the international community is silent in an apparent double standard following international condemnation of Syrian attacks on Turkey only last week.  

These rocket attacks push the diminishing spectre of peace further into the distance. They diminish confidence among the people of Israel that there is a real will to end the conflict, and instead perpetuate the violence that has sustained it, simply met by silence from those who wish to broker peace.
