In its 250 year history, the Board’s overarching mission has always been to protect and to promote the religious and civil liberties of Jewish people in Britain.

Through the Board’s efforts, freedoms denied to our forebears are enjoyed by British Jews today, but challenges remain to our Jewish way of life and the customs and practices we hold dear. 

Our commitment to this mission is therefore as strong as ever.
